About Oscar Litoro

Oscar Litoro is a founding partner of the firm has over 12 years’ experience in litigation, court and tribunal representations as well as alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. Some of the complex and multifaceted court representations attributed to him in the Superior Courts of Kenya are easily accessible on the Kenya Law Reports website.  He graduated from Moi University with his LLB degree in 2008 and thereafter obtained his Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law in 2009. He was later admitted to the bar in 2010 having undertaken his pupilage in the firm of TripleOKLaw Advocates LLP. Mr. Litoro is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya). 

Oscar has a vast experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution in and out of courts having acted and represented various local and international (individual and corporate) clients for over 10 years pre and post admission to the bar. Since admission to the bar, Oscar has worked with top lawyers and firms and he has successfully represented reputable corporate and individual Clients both locally and cross-border and during that time, Oscar has gained and earned admirable exposure and experience in resolving complex cases and deals and giving simple though out strategies and solutions. 

Oscar prides himself in having trained, worked and passionately specialized in litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms throughout his legal career to date having previously worked at TripleOKLaw Advocates LLP in 2009/2010 as a Legal Assistant, Associate Advocate at Sichangi Partners Advocates LLP in 2011, Kaplan and Stratton Advocates in 2012/2013 as well as Sichangi Partners Advocates in 2014/ 2015 and later Partner at CM Advocates LLP in 2015 where he established and headed the litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Unit until December 2019 when he left to found Litoro & Omwebu Advocates. 

Oscar is a well-seasoned expert in property, land and environmental law disputes, debt recovery and securities realization, criminal law, civil and commercial disputes, employment and labour relations disputes, tax law disputes, intellectual law disputes, family law disputes, Constitutional, public law and human rights litigation, arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution in and out of Courts, tribunals, and commissions.

His experience in litigation before the Subordinate Courts such as Magistrate Courts, Quasi-Judicial or Specialized Administrative Institutions and Tribunals, Commissions, Arbitration, Mediation and Adjudication Tribunals constituted pursuant to alternative dispute resolution contracts by parties or Court annexed Mediation, Arbitration or Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms, Superior Courts such as High Court of Kenya, Environment & Land Court, Employment & Labour Relations Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Kenya.
